At Talent Connect, our inaugural corporate recruiting customer conference in November, VP Product David Hahn talked at length about LTBDs, or the ‘Little Things, Big Difference’ that we’re continually changing to make LinkedIn Recruiter an ever more critical sourcing and pipelining tool. The major inspiration for much of this innovation is input from our customers.
Now, we all know recruiters aren’t shy, and LinkedIn Recruiter users are no exception. We logged hundreds of separate pieces of feedback last year that informed many of the 50+ enhancements we made to our core product. Before we dive into 2011, we thought we’d take a moment to recap some of the highlights of LinkedIn Recruiter’s 2010.
January: LinkedIn kicks off the New Year with 55 million members. Meanwhile, we make the Recruiter home page smarter by adding more intuitive navigation, clearer visibility into team activity on shared projects, and easier management of assets like InMails and Job Slots. -
As you know, we listen very closely to customer feedback here at LinkedIn. This year alone, LinkedIn Recruiter customers have submitted hundreds of comments and suggestions on ways to further strengthen their core sourcing tool. And to date, we’ve acted on over 50 of them.
One comment that has continually bubbled to the surface is this: “Your refinement filters are incredible, but I’d love to be able to tailor them to suit MY specific sourcing needs, especially for the searches I run all the time.”

On the heels of two recent new features in Linked Recruiter (Reminders on Profiles and Project Management at a Glance), we’re excited to unveil a third enhancement: Search Filters Everywhere (almost).
With this week’s release, we’ve taken the advanced search and refinement filters available to you whenever you search in Recruiter, and added them in several new places. To make managing large projects and pipelines easier, you’ll now be able to search and dynamically refine any list of profiles – in Projects, on the clipboard, and even within the real-time profile matches we generate with every job posting.

This week’s release includes new features designed to make using LinkedIn Recruiter more efficient and effective. Year to date, we have added over 30 such enhancements to the Recruiter platform, and plan for much more during the remainder of the year. We’d like to thank all the customers who have continually provided feedback and enhancement requests; your voice is what drives innovation.
