Levels of satisfaction differ for passive and active candidates

Interestingly, the numbers look quite a bit different if you break down the candidate responses based on whether they are passive or active. Passive candidates are considerably happier with their jobs than actives. Here are the global averages:

Active candidate satisfaction

Intuitively, it does make more sense that active candidates are a lot less satisfied with their jobs compared to passives, but it’s always good to see it on paper. In the maps below, you will notice that on average only about 52% of actives globally are happy with their jobs (compared to 80% of passives).

The countries with the happiest active candidates are Indonesia (77%), UAE (67%), India (64%). Coincidentally those are countries with some of the highest numbers of active candidates globally.

The countries with the unhappiest active candidates are Japan (34%) and Turkey (35%).
