New Search in LinkedIn Recruiter helps you find the best passive candidates faster and easier then ever

I am writing today to announce the latest improvements to Search within LinkedIn Recruiter – now when you search for people, companies and expertise on LinkedIn Recruiter, our new dynamic refinement tool gives you multiple options to drill down to exactly the expertise, geography, education and industry background you need, in less time than ever.  This new search functionality is currently available exclusively to LinkedIn Recruiter customers.

Recruiters fully recognize the value of passive candidates (60% of them said they get better hires when hiring passive talent) and realize what a great a source of passive talent LinkedIn represents (93% said that the site that they have used most successfully to hire is LinkedIn)

LinkedIn Recruiter, which already brings the widest search space, gets even better with a major improvement of its search feature. Here are its key benefits:

  • Guided Navigation: A list of relevant attributes are generated dynamically for every search in order to guide you through the optimal path to find the most relevant candidates

  • More Intuitive: Narrowing your search is easier than ever with an intuitive user interface that allows you to slice and dice search results by over a dozen refinement options

  • Increased Efficiency: Get to an actionable set of relevant candidates in seconds

  • Reduced Complexity: It significantly reduces the need for complex Boolean queries that we all hate to build

We hope this new search functionality augments your productivity and we’d love to hear your feedback, questions and suggestions.

  1. New?

This looks like nothing more than a basic Boolean keyword search but with some very basic filters applied.

This new feature is very different from writing Boolean queries. To the contrary, it allows you to construct complex queries in a very intuitive user interface that refreshes the attributes and respective counts on every click. It guides you to a set of actionable results very quickly without entering a single Boolean operator.

  2. Using boolean operators is not so complicated especially if you need to use it everyday. What kind of recruiter doesn’t invest half an hour to really understand AND, OR, (,” *…?
